4 New Ads Show How Ambulance Attorneys Convince Accident Victims To Take On Debt & Leave Them Holding The Bag
Ads Uncover Network of Shady Ambulance Lawyers Spending Millions Opposing Reforms on The Ballot in November
CALIFORNIA — A More Affordable California today launched an eight figure ad campaign exposing how billboard lawyers cheat accident victims and rip off consumers. The ads also focus on the shady network of ambulance lawyers who are opposing the Protecting Automobile Accident Victims from Attorney Self-Dealing Act, a measure cracking down on ambulance lawyer abuses that will appear on the 2026 November ballot. The ads will run statewide.
The four ads explain how ambulance attorneys encourage accident victims to take on unnecessary medical debt to inflate settlement prices – a scheme that enriches attorneys but leaves little for victims.
“She trusted her lawyer after the accident,” the narrator explains in one ad. “They told her she needed more tests. More procedures. They called it necessary. She was scared. She was in pain. So she believed them. The bills kept climbing. The fees kept growing. Her lawyer took nearly half. And when the settlement finally came, nothing was left. Just debt…and regret. If you’ve been scammed by your lawyer, tell your story at ProtectCaliforniaConsumers.com.”
The ads also uncover the network of shady ambulance lawyers with long rap sheets who are spending millions to block reforms of these abuses.
“Who’s behind the so-called Consumer Attorneys of California?,” the narrator asks in another. “The same billboard lawyers caught scamming accident victims. The law firm under investigation for allegedly paying people to file false sex abuse claims. And the firm that embezzled millions from disaster victims. These so-called consumer attorneys are spending millions so nobody holds them accountable.”
